Question : pecent ain in mid abdomen stomach area not constant Have severe diverticulitis recently had colonscopy showing polyps biopsy clear.Now if I eat a 3 course meal I go to the toilet and immediately have a very
loose stool Have been on omeprozole for a long time This pain started about a week ago .Its not rollng
about on the floor pain certainly is gastric pain I am 79 yrs Thank you

To recapitulate: Female/79 - takes Omeprazole for a long time and Gaviscon sometimes - mid-abdomen pain - not constant - started a week ago - it is not rolling about - known diverticulitis - colonoscopy biopsy of polyps - clear - loose stools immediately on food...

You history is suggestive that the pain can be due to diverticulitis.
The reasons being:
Known case of diverticulitis.
Loose stools on food indicate that there is a focus of inflammation in the intestines.

I would advise in such a situation the following:
Consult your Doctor or preferably Gastroenterologist:
Get investigations of the blood, stool, CT scan of the abdomen.
Get started on proper antibiotics, metronidazole, probiotics and as needed.
