Suggest Remedy For Severe Hair Loss After Delivery

Post partum hair fall ,normal phenomenon
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
Hair loss after delivery is a very common problem.
It usually starts occurring when the baby is around three months old .This is called post partum hair fall and occurs in various grades in almost all ladies after delivery.
In most people ,it tends to be mild and settles down by itself over the next three to six months.
In lactating women ,it is better to avoid any oral medication. So my advise would be that the best thing to do is to take only topical treatment.
You can start application of beclomethasone lotion at night to the scalp at the hair roots. Use it daily .You can wash hair twice a week with any shampoo .
This will control any further hair loss and will slowly restore the lost hair .
But remember that you will have to regularly use the lotion for weeks together to see good results.
Also since you also developed hypothyroidism ,this can also contribute to increased hair fall. But since you are taking treatment, the thyroid levels should return to normal soon .

My hair fall continued after first delivery and also hair thinning. My hair had become half of what it was even before the second baby. Will my hair regrow and get thicker ? Or I will only regain hair that I am losing post delivery ?
Kindly provide pictures and details
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
You will surely regain the hair lost during delivery and in post partum period .
As far as thinning of hair is concerned , please tell if you have more hair loss from the central partition area of scalp or if you have noticed any widening of the central partition. If you have this ,then this might be an indication of female pattern hair loss.
If possible, Please click some close up pictures of the scalp showing the kind of hair loss and upload them here on this page .
This will help in differentiating hormonal female pattern from generalised hair loss since the treatment protocols are different for each .
