I would like to gather more information from you in order to be able to guide you better..

How long since you have noticed increased hair shedding?

Do you have a family history of hair fall? e.g history of early balding Or early hair loss in brother, father, uncles or cousins?

Do you have concomitant complaints like dandruff?

Brief Answer:
Androgenetic alopecia; minoxidil and finasteride

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Judging from the distribution of hair fall I would like to keep a likely possibility of androgenetic alopecia.
This type of hair loss is charcaterised by hair loss and thinning mainly from the center part of the scalp i.e the front, mid and vertex of the scalp. This may be acompanied by receding anterior hair line. Genetic predisposition is usually present though it may manifest at a different age in different individuals of family.
If I was the treating doctor I would suggest you to apply a topical minoxidil 5% solution, 1ml, twice daily at scalp. In addition I would also suggest you to take a tablet of finasteride 1mg once daily. These are US FDA approved medicines for androgenetic alopecia in males.
Treatment is long term and produces noticeable improvement in about 3-12 months, in terms of reduction in hair shedding, new hair regrowth and increase in thickness of hair shaft. The goal of treatment is to prevent further progression of hair loss and reverse early hair loss and therefore results are better if therapy is initiated early on in androgenetic alopecia.
These are prescription medications and I suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your vicinity for a confirmatory diagnosis and for the needful.
