Brief Answer:
Get EKG done first

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
Male of 21 years getting the pain on the left side of the rib cage in the middle-upper part feeling like a *cramp is suggestive of a muscle spam of the pectoralis major unless proved otherwise - this is done by doing an EKG and clinical examination to press upon the muscle, its origin from the ribs to find any tenderness.
A simple test is if the pain is elicited by action like pull-ups or pressing on the wall is indicative of myospasm or inflammation.
Continue Advil three time a day.
Apply Rubrafacient cream (which gives warmth).
Avoid all the movements that strain on the muscles.
Consult a Doctor if there is some doubt for clinical evaluation and to get additional prescription based treatment as muscle relaxants or so if required.

I hope this answers your query.
