Question : So about 3 weeks ago I was taking a saddle of my aunt's horse and she is kind of clumsy with her feet. I was not smart and was wearing flip-flops and the horse stepped on my foot. I don't think she put her full weight on my foot but it still really hurt. My aunt is a nurse and she looked at my foot. She said it didn't look bad and it wasn't really all that bruised. I iced my foot and took ibuprofen for the bad and for the inflammation. Like I said this was 3 weeks ago and it still hurts to touch. I don't know what I should do and if I should go to the doctor and get an x-ray.

                                    Brief Answer:
Lisfranc fracture
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
Thanks for the query.
According to the history you provided it appears that you could be having an undiagnosed fracture or ligament injury in the foot called Lisfranc injury or other possible injuries.
I advise you to avoid bearing weight on that foot. You can apply ice, keep the limb elevated. Use crutches for walking. And yes, it is advisable to get X-ray.
You need to get an Orthopaedician consult and Xray will be needed.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available for follow up queries.
Thanking you.

Thank you for answering my question I will definitely go get it looked at.
Just quick question if I can walk on it normally could it still be a fracture? I can walk fine it's just when I rub it or touch it that I feel pain.
Thanks again

                                    Brief Answer:
Not likely a fracture but a possibility of ligament or soft tissue injury.
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Thanks for the follow up query.
If you are able to walk on it comfortably without much pain then it is less likely a fracture but since you have pain on applying pressure to the area, it could be ligament sprain or soft tissue injury.
You can apply a crepe bandage wound around your ankle and foot in a figure of 8 pattern if you feel any instability or you being prone to twisting your ankle.
I hope I have answered your query.
