Brief Answer:
Symptomatic treatment needed.

Detailed Answer:
Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I will take care all of your medical concerns.

Viral infections are not treated similar to the bacterial ones. Bacterial infections and fever is treated aggressively with antibiotics but viral fevers are treated conservatively only for symptomatic relief. Viral diseases get cured mostly at their own and after some specified time periods of some days.

First we have to diagnose properly that it's actually the fever due to viral illness. For example dengue fever is due to a virus.

Treatment consists of Acetaminophen (paracetamol) tablet twice to three times daily for pain, reducing fever, and inflammations. Avoid taking Aspirin as it may worsen the disease process and may cause bleeding (especially in dengue fever for example).

Take proper rest. It helps improve. Take fresh juices and fruits, plenty of water vegetables and salads to keep yourself revitalized.

It's all needed for the viral infections and it will settle down in a week or two. If you feel deterioration of the symptoms, or feel that the aforementioned treatment is no more working for you, go to the hospital for complete investigations and prompt care.

Have a wonderful time ahead. Hope I answered all of your questions. Let me know if you have any further clinical concerns. If satisfied, please give a five star rating and don't forget to close the discussion.

Regards!
