Question : HAD A HEART STENT OPERATION GOING THRU THE GROINS. mY LEFT LEG IS SO SORE I CAN HARDLY WALK, TOO WEAK AND PAINFUL AROUND THE BACK KNEE AREA. OPERATION PERFORMED 10/1
Brief Answer:
This arises suspicion of thrombosis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
This arises suspicion of thrombosis and possible hematoma at the region where vessel puncture was done for putting in the catheter.
This should be brought to notice of doctor immediately.
A color doppler for abdominal and leg blood vessels should be performed to see patency/thrombosis.
Such complications are common after stent operation and need urgent care as the thrombus can get dislodge and cause blockage of a distal vessels, say in important organ like brain.
Hope this helps. Please ask if there are doubts.Regards.
