Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat After Cunnilingus
Question: Hi Doc,
I am a male, had oral sex with a female last 2012 from a massage saloon, i went down on her (cunnilingus) after she put oil massage on her body as well as mine, no penetrative sex happened but i lick her vagina about 5 to 10 mins or so, a week after i got a painful sore throat, went to the doctor and they provided me antibiotic which took almost two weeks to get rid of the sore throat, had Hiv test for antibodies two weeks after the the sore throat went away results was negative my worry is that I might have got hiv infection because the hiv test was done in a window period? Was the risk high wen i did the cunnilingus i am stress and worried like hell. Your advise and conform will surely help alot. Thank you in advance

Oral sex on male and female carry a low risk for HIV when compared to anal and vaginal sex, as per CDC XXXXXXX
Sore throat is a common problem for anybody and everywhere and especially following oral sex it can occur due to non STD organisms and rarely due to STD organisms.But possibility HIV following Cunnilingus is rare.
As the incident is pestering you very much, it is better to have another HIV test as the previous one was performed during window period. By ruling out HIV through the test will relieve unnecessary mental tension.
