Question : My left breast has been sore for approximately 2 weeks. I have been doing daily self breast exams for any lumps or bruising and there is nothing. No lumps, no bruising, nothing of that nature.
It is only my left breast and I am starting to get concerned. Is it breast cancer??

Brief Answer:
Breasts ultrasound is necessary.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Most likely you have a cyst, inflammation or are pregnant. Cancer is less probable. However it should be checked as everything is possible.
The only reasonable advice for you is to have breasts ultrasound done. Without this test, no one is able to tell what exactly is going on with your breast.
So please consult your doctor and have breast ultrasound done.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

Wouldn't I be able to feel a cyst?
My right breast just started to feel sore about a day ago.
With inflammation, wouldn't the breast be red or a little bigger than my right?

Brief Answer:
Not every cyst can be palpated.
Detailed Answer:
Not every cyst is palpable. Some cysts can be palpated by an experienced doctor. Inflammation very often can cause redness or swelling, but not always.
So you should have an ultrasound either way.
