Question : Yesterday I experienced dizziness as if I were going to faint. My vision blurred and did not become clear for about a minute or two. Later in the evening I saw flashing yellow zig zag lines around the periphery of my vision mostly in my left eye. Since then everything has been okay.

This clearly is a vascular phenomenon and we should try to find out the reason.
We have to known the level of blood pressure and rule out diabetes.
Possibility of migraine is to be kept in mind.If there someone close in the family who has migraine then this goes in favour of diagnosis. Otherwise 57 is a little late age to have first attack of migraine.
I want you to provide us with relevant details so we can come to a final diagnosis.
In the meanwhile maintain a healthy lifestyle. Est well rest and exercise. These go a long way in helping you.

My blood pressure was low about a week ago but normal yesterday when I had it checked by acupuncturist. I do not have diabetes I had a physical recently. My Father get migraines.
