Question: Diabetes Type 2 On Metformin ER 500 mg twice a day Glucose 124 last night.
Swelling in ankles and some reddish area. Not hot to the touch. Was a few dots of red now there seems to be more. Kind of a tingling too, not pain. Worse when I'm on my feet all day. Kinda prickly actually.

Brief Answer:
Diabetic foot or diabetic neuropathy

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ma'am
I had gone through your question very diligently and I really appreciate your concern.

Looking at your description, This might be related to diabetic foot or diabetic neuropathy which is complications of long standing diabetes

Here, I would like further information for better assessment of the condition

Since how long you are having diabetes?
Please upload a photograph of the swollen ankle
is it on both the legs or just in one leg?
If you have your latest blood reports like blood sugar and HbA1c report, please upload to me.

In my opinion you should see a general physician or diabetologist for physical examination and investigations blood sugar and HbA1c with CBC to rule out infection
you should take multivitamin supplements especially Vitamin B 12.

Please write back to me with these details so that I will be able to tell you more precisely
waiting for your reply
Best wishes
