Tinnitus is the medical term for ringing in the years. There are a multitude of possible causes. If you have had ringing in the ears for a significant period of time and by this I mean for more than a few weeks then I think it would be very prudent for you to chic specialty consultation with an ear nose and throat specialist.

This is Specialists can help determine if there are particular issues with your ear canal or eardrum which may possibly be addressed withmedications or possibly a procedure.

In some cases however,tinnitus can be a long-term problem and people have to learn to just deal with the symptoms. Hopefully in your case a solution can be determined.

Again if you had had the symptoms for a significant period of time I would suggest that you see a specialist for a focused consultation and specialized examination.
