Question : Hi, a few weeks ago I had sex and tore my frenilium. It healed bug I was still masterbating while it was healing. Now that it is fully healed my frenilium is swollen and sore and looks kind of white, and it's sensitive to touch the party that's swollen. Sometimes hurts when I retract the skin. It's been almost a week like that and I don't know what to do. I'm not sure what it is but I'm unable to see a doctor at the moment because I'm deployed and in the field away from them.

Brief Answer:
It would all settle over time!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this.

I am so sorry to hear about what you have reported. I have reviewed the information fully. The healing is complete in the sense that there is no more wound but the tissue are still to completely heal. This is why pressure continues to cause some discomfort.

There is nothing special that you need to do right now. I will recommend that you refrain from excessive touch as this continues to cause inflammation and retards ultimate healing. What would make the difference at this point is time and we need to keep some patience about this.

I will also appreciate an image to make sure there is no other feature that may be of concern. The link is found to the right on your dashboard.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

I just uploaded the pictures you asked for. How long does this normally take for the swelling and sore to go away?

Brief Answer:
The image is reassuring!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the images.

I have reviewed them and this is reassuring. We need just time to get over this. Symptoms would regress significantly and should be over within a 2-3weeks after complete healing if there is no more further repeated manipulation.

I hope tis helps. I wish you well. Feel free to keep the discussion going on and do update me with the progress of this sensitivity.

Ok thanks I will keep it open. Today it is sore and looks like it's leaking puss or whatever is in it(it's white the liquid that is coming out of it) with a foul oder and hurt even more to pull the foreskin back, I was just wondering if that was normal

Brief Answer:
It is not normal to leak pus!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up information.

You had mentioned to me that it was healed and the only problem was the sensitivity. If there is pus coming from there with an offensive odor, I will ask you to go to the hospital for evaluation. This means there is an active ongoing infection and there are reasons to worry about. You may need wound care and probably antibiotics depending on the extend of this infection.

If seeing a doctor is absolutely impossible, then I will recommend that you cleanse it daily with Iodine. Also, retract the skin and immerse in a bowl of water containing diluted iodine solution for 5minutes at least 3times a day to help with the healing.

Let me hear from you to know what you have settled on. I will appreciate an image that shows the draining side from a close view. I didn't see such on previous images.

I attached another image. It had a oder this morning when I woke up and I showered that night. And tonight it still has it and the puss but not much it's like the amount that comes out of a zit when u pop it. I've been washing it every day with warm water and drying it off good. I'm really worried about it. There is no hospital around so I'll try and find the iodine but if I can't find that is there anything else I could use?

Brief Answer:
Iodine or any other antiseptic for wound care!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for this follow up information and image.

For now, try and get iodine for disinfection. If you cannot get iodine, ask for any other antiseptic that is available locally for cleansing wounds. Cleanse regularly. If there is no significant improvement over 48hours am afraid you would have to figure out how to see a physician. Don't you have an a local clinic wherever you are?

I wish you well and keep me updated!

I checked and there was no iodine anywhere or peroxide, and the hospital is in a different country. I bought a cream called bacitracin . I've been using it. It doesn't itch as much and I can't smell it anymore but it is still swollen and red with white spots and still discharging a white liquid. I think it's balantis cause it has all the symptoms of that. So I think it is some kind of infection I have. Hopefully this cream helps

Brief Answer:
Cleanse well before applying this cream!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for these updates.

Sorry you could not lay hands on any antiseptic. Even in the absence of this, remember to clean thoroughly with water before applying this cream. It has antibacterial properties and would prove helpful.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Keep me updated and let's evaluate as we approach the surgery.
