Question : Hi, I was diagnosed with an ulcer due to intense stabbing pain just under my rib cage. My doctor has put me on Lansoprazole and they have relieved the worst of the stabbing pain. I still feel very tender, sore and full in the stomach and cannot sleep for the pain. Is there anything I can do to relieve it please? XXXXXXX

I understand your plight, it looks like you are suffering from severe gastritis. In this situation I recommend you to do the following

1. Tab Domperidone should be added along with Lansoprazole, take it twice daily before food
2. Eat regularly and on time. Irregular eating habits is most common reason why people develop gastritis
3. Avoid milk and milk products
4. Avoid spicy food
5. Avoid caffeine, smoking and alcohol until you are better
5. Syrup Mucaine gel when taken three times daily can also reduce the pain almost instantaneously
