Brief Answer:
Medicines would not help. Timely food intake is important.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

For proper weight gain to occur, your child needs proper intake of carbohydrates and proteins. Carbohydrates come from cereals whereas protein comes from fish, eggs, meat, spinach, soy, carrots, tomatoes etc. I understand that she is vegetarian. But I would need to ask if she takes eggs and milk. Milk is also a good source of animal protein. Carbohydrates supply the energy whereas proteins form our body. Hence for proper weight gain these need to be taken in bulk. These cannot be contained in syrups or capsules and hence medicines would not be helpful. Vitamins are not likely to help.

Make sure that from time to time she takes proper food. This has to be backed up with proper play habits.

Her daily intake should be something like:
Whole Grains, Breads, Cereals: 6 servings
Vegetables: 1/4 cup dark green vegetables , 1/4 to 1/2 cup other vegetables
Legumes, Nuts, Seeds, Non-Dairy Milks: 1/2 to 1 cup legumes , 3 servings soymilk or other non-dairy milk
Fruits: 1 to 2 cups

Breakfast: Whole grain cereal with banana and soymilk, orange wedges
Lunch: Tofu-Egg Salad Sandwich, apple juice, carrot sticks, Oatmeal Cookie
Dinner: Baked beans with soy "hot dog" pieces, baked potato, spinach, soymilk, fruit salad
Snacks: Trail mix, XXXXXXX crackers, soymilk

Feel free to bring in all sorts of variations but make sure that she eats well.

Wish you all the best.

Brief Answer:
Steam inhalation would provide relief

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking back.

Most often episodes of cough and cold are due to certain viral infections. Such infections have an allergic component and hence some antiallergic like Relent syrup (cetirizine) given once daily for 3-4 days should be helpful. Also give steam inhalation. Water in the form of vapour would reach deep inside and would help in diluting the cough and would provide relief. Please note that irrespective of treatment it will take 3-7 days to resolve.

Brief Answer:
Give her paracetamol for pain

Detailed Answer:
I am sorry to hear about your friend. But she should not ignore it. She can take paracetamol to reduce pain. But for the rest she should see a doctor, especially about the urinary issue. Treatment would be symptomatic. The main concern is bleeding from introitus. But if that does not happen there is less to worry about.
