Suggest Safe Methods Of Abortion

Question: Hello Doctor, I need your advice for my missing periods. its been 17 days i have not got my periods. when checked the results are positive. pls advice the medicine for it
before it is too late i need to do something. pls advise.

Hi XXXX, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. I presume that by result positive, you mean that the urine pregnancy test is positive.
If it is so and you are not willing to continue this pregnancy, then you can terminate it by medical or surgical method. In your case, medical method (include drugs mifepristone and misoprostol) will be advised as it is an early pregnancy.
The medical method of abortion has to be taken under the supervision of a registered medical practitioner, as it has the risks of excessive bleeding , failed abortion or incomplete abortion, in that case surgical method is resorted too.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get examined, investigated (ultrasound esp to rule out any ectopic pregnancy) and get appropriate treatment.

Dear XXXXXXX So should i go ahead taking the medical method or the two medicine names which you have given. after taking this by wen can i have bleeding cycle. Will it be very painfull.

HiXXXX, I did consult a doctor today and the advise was more of going for pregnancy. pls advice on the doses. These tablets are to be taken before food or after food.

In my practice, I advise mifepristone 200 mg orally after meals followed by 800 mg of misoprostol vaginally after 48 hours, after proper informed consent and explaining the risks associated.
Therefore, I would suggest you to consult another doctor and tell your willingness for termination of pregnancy. No one will deny to offer you the required treatment. Medical method of abortion should be taken under the supervision of a registered medical practitioner, this is the fact which I am again emphasizing.
