Brief Answer:
Please go for a clinical consultation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

Since your wife tested positive for pregnancy, further management includes a proper clinical evaluation by a specialist along with a trans-vaginal/pelvic sonogram to confirm pregnancy, the age, viability and location of the gestation sac.

This done, she is prescribed vitamins to improve general condition and also to prevent any possible neural tube defects.

She needs proper rest and sleep. Avoid intercourse during the first and last three months of pregnancy. She should also limit travel during the first trimester and avoid lifting weights.

Please have regular follow up and follow your doctor's instructions.

Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
