Brief Answer:
Brain death needs to be confirmed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted the details of your relative. It is unfortunate that he has been declared brain dead. In the attachments, I could not find any supporting evidence of the same. Certain tests/procedures are needed to confirm brain death:

1. Pupil size and reaction.
2. Doll's eye movements,
3. Apnea test,
4. EEG.

Please get back with the above reports.

Once brain death is confirmed, there is no chance of recovery, as it is equivalent to death. It is a matter of time after that, when heart would also stop.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Dr, Hospital is not ready to give report it seems, they say when patient is discharged from hospital they will give reports and moreover they are not allowing any other dr to come to there hospital and visit patient.
so we wanted to shift patient to some good hospital like Apollo, Fortius in some metro city, so my question is will Apollo/Fortius admit patient and can do whatever tests needed? The current hospital where patient is, is not very good and they are insisting on organs harvesting without going for 2nd opinion. We want to try whatever possible. Read an article that thru Stem Cell chances of recovery are there, is that possible?
got this Info
Hospitalized in GCS3 stage, dilated pupils without any sign of senses, now brain dead for 2 days, BP varying from 35-75 to 70-115 maintain by medicine. Brain Shifted

Brief Answer:
Brain death can not be reversed.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

As I understand from you, the doctors have already confirmed brain death. Only then, they would talk about organ harvesting and donation. In that case, there is no need to shift to another hospital. This is because brain death can not be reversed and brain death is equal to death. The heart beat would stop eventually.

Best wishes,

Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
