Brief Answer:
There is no test for this but a good physical exam can tell!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

There is no test that does this. However, a good physical examination by a neurologist can tell whether there is a nerve problem at the level of the neck or not. This will manifest with nerve pain originating from the area to the part of the body supplied by these nerves. Nerves that pass through the neck are deep inside and cannot be directly evaluated using electrical stimulation.

IN all, get examined by a neurologist and any nerve issues will be identified and manged accordingly.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Been to the Neuro Dr we did an MRI I have bulging disc but now he's doing a brain scan as well. Looking into Fibromyalgia or MS. Also the MRI didn't show anything pinched so they say but I'm getting numbness, tingling, I get burning sensations & it's affecting me emotionally. Any suggestions what to do next?

Brief Answer:
The bulging disc is the main problem here and needs to be corrected!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up precision.

The bulging disc should be corrected. This is the most likely cause of your symptoms which are typical of a trapped nerve. If nothing else works to address and relieve this tingling, numbness and burning sensation, I will not hesitate evaluating the possibility of getting is addressed surgically.

I hope this helps. Let me know what your immediate take is. I wish you well.
