Question : how much dosage can i give to my 12yrs boy for throat infection

DOSAGE OF AZITHROMYCN

my kid 12yrs old and having severe nose congestion , i started giving montair lc kid daily at bed times. now he started sneezing all day so p;lanning to give antibiotic if it is azithromycn 250 mg , what is the dosage you recommend for him

Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
I understand that your son has severe running nose.
Giving azithromycin may not help unless he has severe signs of throat or ear or chest infection.
If really you need to give , 250 mg tablet once daily is what I recommend to similar patients in my clinic.
My best advice is to consult your Pediatrician before starting antibiotics.
Unnecessary antibiotics might weaken his immune system.
