Brief Answer:
Total daily dose is 1-3 ml/kg/day

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

Looz contains lactulose,a laxative.
In chronic constipation the dose of lactulose is 1-3 ml/kg/day(maximum 60 ml/day). The average weight of 13 kg old child is around 35-40 kg;so the maximum dose which can be given is 60 ml/day. So the maximum dose that can be given is 15 ml/dose at an interval of 6 hours.

You have mentioned that you have given 10 ml of lactulose. It is not clear that how many dosage you have given. Once lactulose is given it may take 24-48 hours for the desired affect.

If already 48 hours have been passed and 2-3 dosage of lactulose each of 10 ml is given and there is no effect;you may increase the dose to 15 ml 6 hourly.

Side effect is mainly loose stools. If you notice frequent loose stools, hold the medication and give plenty of fluids to maintain the hydration.

I shall be glad to answer if you have any more doubts.
Regards
