Question : I took .25 milligrams of xanax at 11 a.m. and another 1 milligram of xanax at 1 p.m. then another 1.5 milligrams of xanax is 6:30 p.m. and just took another 1.5 milligrams now at 8:30 p.m. a total of 4.25 milligrams, I just lost a loved one and have been having bad panic attacks and I'm nervous I have taken too much xanax. So my question is should I go to the ER because I took too much or will I be okay
Brief Answer:
Psychiatrist consultation needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir, thanks for trusting health care magic.
I'm so sorry to hear that and I understand your anxiety and pain.
Xanax is a safe drug with high safety range and thus no need to go to ER but don't consume more of it.
Xanax helps in relieving the anxiety and thus induction of sleep but if it has not resulted in any such things then being a milder anxiolytic it is not sufficient for you.
So in my opinion take consultation from a psychiatrist and get a higher drug with better effect.
Take care.
