90-150 ml per feed at least every 4-5 hours a day or earlier

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. As your babies are still in their early weeks of life, a larger ratio of breastmilk as compared to supplement food should be considered.

At 3 weeks, about 90-150 ml per feed, every 4-5 hours or less is considered normal. But this is only an average, and I would stick with a feed as demand arises rule.

As for the ratio between breastmilk and supplement food, I would recommend a 1:5 or 2:5 ratio of supplement food:breastmilk. But please also note, the introduction of supplement food should take place only once the infants pediatrician has allowed for you to do so.

I understand your anxiety as new parents, but as long as you feed your child as and when the child asks for it, and if the infants weight gain is normal, then there should be nothing to worry about. Stick to a larger amount of breastmilk for now, gradually shifting it to supplement food as the weeks/months pass by.

I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help. And my hearty congratulations to the both of you for your bundles of XXXXXXX

Best wishes.
