default
Posted on Mon, 9 Jun 2014
Question: I am having both urinary and anal leakage. I have seen a urologist who can perform a proceedure to correct the urinary issue. I do not know what type of surgeon to see regarding the anal leakage.
I would prefer to have my urologist perform surgery for both issues at the same time.

Brief Answer:
Separate issues.General surgeon/gastroenterologist

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to the forum.
The procedure done to correct the urine leak depends on the diagnosis.
If urine leaks on cough and sneeze, it could be corrected by surgery done by the urologist.
Anal leakage needs to be evaluated by the general surgeon or the gastro- enterologist as it NOT related to the urinary tract and need to be addressed differently.
Hope this helps.
Sincerely
