Question : I was bitten by a dog. It did puncture the skin but did not make a hole in my pants. Can I clean it with hydrogen peroxide?
Brief Answer:
Yes, you can clean.
Detailed Answer:
Hello! I have been through your question.
Regarding your concern, I think that if there is only a small puncture without blood (and if you have done vaccination of Tetanus within last 8_10 years) you don't need to take Antitetanus immunoglobulin but you should be aware of antirabies vaccination of the dog.
So, I'd suggest washing the puncture under running water with soap and clean with hydrogen-peroxide but it's better with Betadine and not to keep it covered.
I hope my answer helps you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards.
