Question : My 7 year old son told me yesterday that he was scratched by a 2 month old puppy a week ago, the scratch is a pin sized on his ankle and there is no pain or swelling as if now.I took him to the doctor , he gave a medicine named Brutal 10ml, single dose.Kindly advise as a tetanus injection or some other vaccines must be given

Brief Answer:
You need to give TT and also antirabies vaccine please

Detailed Answer:
Hi... whatever it is, it is an animal contact and your kids will definitely require not only TT injection but also anti Rabies vaccine course. I suggest you consult pediatrician regarding this.

It needs to be given in 0, 3, 7, 14, 28 and 90 days schedule intramuscular injections.
