Suggest Treatment And Ways To Detox Methadone From The Body

Question : I already have a history on this topic idk if you can review for background info. Basically I am desperately trying to get of heroin.. Been using for two years....I do 30 bags a day average, I asked about using methadone in a pyramid down from 60mgs a day to start and working down by 10mg a day to nothing. I was advised that wouldn't work because of the half life of heroin and to seek suboxone. I reached out all over this week and couldn't get anyone to see me for three weeks and the streets failed as well. I called several detox centers and cant get in. I did discuss the detox technique with a counselor at one rehab center. what they described was my alternate proposed dosage of methadone. basically starting at 30-40 daily and reducing by 3% daily. My last resort just failed me on suboxone (supposedly I can get them on Monday) but how do I trust a junkie to come through. He was supposed to have them today for sure, missed appointment.
So I am still sitting on 55 10mg tabs of methadone. I do not want to continue to $400 a day on heroin and hope to get the subs on Monday.
So I have to ask again
If I start at with 40mgs on day one should I take 2 and then 2 more in 12 hours or take all 4 at once because of the lasting effect? and because I am going to really dope sick...I know methadone clinics only dose once a day
Then decrease by 3% a day that puts me a 13 days detoxed.....BUT the big question is...After 13 days of methadone am I going to have problems from that? people talk about severe pain coming off methadone... should I shorten my detox to ten days by starting at 30mgs? But will 30mgs be enough of a dose for me? I am 44 years old, 6' 250lbs...have no allergies, taking no other prescriptions or street drugs, I don't drink alcohol. no medical conditions.
I must do this...I tried to get professional help but no one will take or has room for me. I am not suicidal but as much as I use I feel like I am going to OD so I need to stop now...also because of job I must use the weekend for the really bad days.
Please give me your best advice on a hypothetical case like mine as far as dose and what to expect from methadone. I have taken in the past but never steady. I did well detoxing with suboxone but not an option.

I would have preferred suboxone but cant get anyone to see me for weeks, most doctors aren't accepting new patients. The one that did call me back wants $600 for the first month cash only plus meds, and decided he cant see me this week because he is going on vacation next week, so he says around the 17th. really nice...I am pleading for my life literally and you brush me off. wow!
Anyway, if I start at 40mgs should I take all at once? or split into 12 hour doses?
should this keep me feeling ok? or am I going to feel like hell just not like im going to die if I went cold turkey?

I have done the cold turkey and yes dreadful and unpleasant is putting it mildly. Even when you see the whole world falling apart around you, you will keep using just to avoid the sickness. most people cant understand how bad it really is. after awhile its has nothing to do with being high, its just not being sick
