Suggest Treatment For ADHD

Question : I have had ADHD since childhood and until the last 2 years have managed the symptoms pretty well. Unfortunately my job (whi h I love) is incredibly demanding and I am having poor feedback from my clients and bosses due to my not delivering on time, tardiness and not sitting still during meetings. I tried a friends medication which I know isn't good and it actually helped me so I want to talk to a psychiatrist about getting medication for this problem. I do not need this as a daily thing but a few times a month when I have key deliverables and need to have key meetings in which I am well engaged this will help me I am sure.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

From the available description it appears to me that you are dealing with adult ADHD which is common in working population. I am glad to know that you have tried to manage your symptoms with non pharmacological approach and delivered to a possible extent till date.

As I can see you are having problem with activity and attention Adderall will be a better option. I am not sure what you used from your friend but most probably it must be adderall.

Having said this there is need for in-person consultation as online prescription can not be made for stimulant medication without completely examining the individual with possible diagnosis of ADHD.
