Question : My wifes doctor diagnosed her with Alzheimers today and told me that she has the apoe4 gene and has 2 copies of it. Is anything available that will help her other than the meds she is now taking

Sorry to hear about your wife Alzheimers is not an easy problem to deal with .
It is very important to take good care of her .
Well in terms of medications apart from the medication she is taking rivastigmine will also help.
Though donezepil is the only FDA approved treatment for Alzheimer's disease .
I would recommend you to get rivastigmine also prescribed by your pcp
