Brief Answer:
depression can be treated , you need counselling

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern.

To remove unwanted thoughts of molestation and anxiety you need to undergo counseling. In counseling psychodynamic therapy would be helpful. However medicines can also help. It is good that you are trying on your own but taking a help of professional (psychiatrist/clinical psychologist) would be more beneficial.

Low mood, lack of interest in routine activities, sleep disturbance, worthlessness, lack of concentration, crying spells, thoughts of dying, excessive worries are symptoms of depression. If you have symptoms more than 2 weeks and affecting your social life, occupation life or study then possibility of depression is there. For confirmation of diagnosis detail history and mental status examination are required to be done by a psychiatrist.
You are young and depression is treatable condition. There are many other medicines available for depression and psychotherapy can also help.

Treatment of depression includes both medicines and psychotherapy.

In psychotherapy I prefer cognitive behavior therapy (CBT).In mild cases only CBT is sufficient. In moderate to severe cases initially medicines and then CBT is added. And later on medicines stopped gradually.

In medicines SSRI group of drugs (fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline, escitalopram) are main stay of the treatment.
Benzodiazepines group of drugs (clonazeapm, lorazepam or etizolam) are used initially for short duration for fast symptomatic relief.

In my opinion you must consult psychiatrist without hesitation as soon as possible. Earlier the treatment starts better the results.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Dr.Chintan Solanki.

Brief Answer:
it will take 8-10 weeks for improvement

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,

Thanks for follow up.

If you start psychotherapy with medicines you would be improve likely in 8-10 weeks as your problem seems not severe.

I do not think that hypnotist can help in removing memory we psychiatrists do not recommend.

Any bad incidence or even bad dreams which we can remember sometime come repeatedly in mind in awake state and in dreams. It is due to our limbic system (system for emotion) functioning and neurochemical changes associated with bad memory.

We human being do not have any system or capacity to remove bad memories from our mind permanently. But yes we have capacity to digest and accept the bad memories and we can keep the same in our mind locked. Conflicts and distress due to this bad memory must be resolved with help of psychotherapy. By this this bad memory cannot cause any problem in life. (in simple understanding if we can compare our brain to computer we do not have shift+delete option but yes we have delete option and matter can go into recylcin bin and not visible on desktop) .

Psychiatrist or clinical psychologist of course can help to treat your problem.

Hope this answer will help. Feel free to discuss further.

Brief Answer:
see following links for doctors

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for delayed response.

Considering your history it seems that you need both medicines and psychotherapy.

For psychiatrist in XXXXXXX you can see the following link or you can ask your family doctor to refer you to some one as I am not aware personally about anyone there.
http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/Psychiatrists-in-Kolhapur/L18935S35
XXXXXXX has lots of psychiatrists. You can find the names with following link.

http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/Psychiatrists-in-Pune/L18934S35/20

I recommend Dr. Dhavle and Dr. Deshmukh.

However you can choose any psychiatrist near to you. But the point is that very few psychiatrists will be able to give time for psychotherapy. Never the less you can ask to any of the psychiatrists about the clinical psychologist who is good at psychotherapy.

To prevent any worsening apart from medicines you need to maintain healthy lifestyle. This includes regular daily exercise (walking or running), hygienic food habits ( no junk food, no fatty food, preferably only home-made food with law salt and fat with more fruits and vegetables) and timely scheduled sleep. Yoga- meditation can also help.

Hope this answer will help.

Brief Answer:
you need to meet psychiatrist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

If I were your treating doctor I would like to start escitalopram and etizolam for a while. These are prescription medicines and you need to consult psychiatrist for the same. You have to consult psychiatrist for psychotherapy and counseling. I think you need to go to psychiatrist for regular follow-up up to 6 months.

Routine physical and mental tips I have already mentioned in last para of previous answer.

If still any query there, I will be happy to answer. If not, you can close the discussion and if feasible give your feedback and rating so I can improve my service. In future you can contact me directly on this site if you wish with this link:
