Question: I have recently had an operation for complete removal of my prostrat. Three weeks later a routine urine test give a reading of 10,000 UFC/ml for cintrobacter kosEric. What treatment should I expect

When a germ is isolated, different antibiotics are tested to identify those that can act on the germ. What I am certain about is that you would get an antibiotic to control the growth of this germ. However, the exact antibiotic would depend on the sensitivity testing from the laboratory. There is no reason to get bothered about this. If you could upload the result sheet, I will tell which are the possible antibiotics that can be used in your case.
