Not all people with this condition require treatment

Thanks for asking on Health care magic.
Factor V Leiden is an autosomal dominant genetic condition which indicates that it can get expressed in heterozygous condition. However, it exhibits incomplete penetrance, i.e. not every person who has the mutation develops the disease. Hence treatment depends on the intensity of your symptoms. If genetic tests have confirmed that you have factor V Leiden, but you have not exhibited any blood clots, then you probably do not need blood thinners on a regular basis. If you have blood clots, low molecular injectable heparins like enoxaparin (Lovenox) and dalteparin (Fragmin) are good choces. However, newer oral blood thinners like Dabigatran (Pradaxa) Rivaroxaban (Xarelto) and Apixaban (Eliquis) are now available and may be considered best choice.
