Suggest Treatment For GERD And H Pyroli Infection
Question: I have been diagnosed with GERD and H Pyroli Infection. i am 28 years old.
1. Currently i am taking adiza 10 mg(ilaprazole) 1 time in the morning and domstal 10 mg( domperidone ) 3 times. I was also suggested Feliz S ( 5 mg) but i am not taking this because i want to take antidepressents. This medicines i am taking almost for 20 days. Since last 2 days i am feeling dryness in the mouth and throat. Just wandering if this is some sideeffects of the medicine. Should i consult the doctor for this? or should i just leave it as it is and if will go of its own.
2. How long the gerd takes to recover, its 2.5 months now and it is not recovering, though improvement is there. Medicnies i am taking only since last 20 days. Usually when i was not having this breathing issues, before the periods i use to have acidity. I have noticed that before the periods my breathing prblm drastically increases. Just wanted to confirm is periods can actually worsen this problem.

I have carefully read your query and understand your concern.
As per your Endoscopy report,you seem to have moderately severe GERD,the prime cause of which is H.pylori induced gastritis as evidenced on RUT(rapid urease test).
You are currently receiving only treatment the acid reflux but not against the cause.
You need to take Esmaprazole 40 mg instead of ilaprazole 10 mg.This is the required drug with superior drug.
Treatment against H.pylori is mandate in your case.This treatment protocol includes three 3 drugs namely-Esmaprazole,Clarithromycin and Amoxicillin to be taken for 21 days with 6 tabs each day divided over 2 sessions-morning and evening.
Note:these drugs should be taken only under strict medical supervision.
Following the completion of this treatment,you need to follow up with UBT/urease breath test 4-6 weeks later to document the eradication of H.pylori.
Its extremely important for the bacterium H.Pylori to be eradicated.
Its the main goal of controlling the GERD in your case.
The disease recurs if H.pylori is not eradicated.
It takes approximately 6-12 months for the symptoms of GERD to resolve completely.
Your menstrual periods are not related either to GERD/H.pylori.

3.Avoid large meals.
4.Waiting 3 hours after a meal before lying down.
5.Avoid-citrus fruits,chocolate,tomato,peppermint and coffee.
