Question : I am having minor little like stingers in my chest below the left nipple or it moves around somewhat, but it is always accompanied by gas and belching. After the belching stops it goes away. Is that anything to be concerned with?
Brief Answer:
Non-anginal chest pain
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Mostly you are having left infra-mammary non-anginal pain and its association with dyspetic symptoms like gas and belching and its relief with belching out of gas points towards Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). You need empirical treatment with acid inhibitors ( e.g. pantoprazole -standard dose 40 mg daily orally before food). Meanwhile with chest pain as presenting symptom, a resting 12 lead ECG is advised.
