Question : Dear doctor,

My mother is a chronic lung patient.
She has been suffering from ILD (Interstitial lung disease) since XXXXXXX 2009.

She has been undergoing steroid medication and 24 hours oxygen support. Due to steroids she have also developed diabetes and Blood pressure.

We have heard a possibility of lung transplant in XXXXXXX

Hello dear,

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.

Lung Transplantation is done only at one centre in XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
You need to enrol in transplant list as donor lungs are not easily available.
And a lot of issues need to discuss before transplant.
Honestly speaking in XXXXXXX this surgery is in very basic level. Not much expertise at present.
So better to discuss in depth about lung transplant before enrolling.
