Question : my husband has mersa he has had it since he was in recovery for heart attack. it coveres most of his extremetry.he says it won'tstop itiching. he;shad all kinds of treatments.he scratches continulyand blood runs off of him .he is on blood thinners can you please help i was told that uvrays might help. if that is true.get me in touch with a place close to stoutsville ohio,43154

Brief Answer: It's yet to receive FDA approval... Detailed Answer: Hi, I understand your concern. There are plenty of work going on MRSA strains. And yes, blue light was found to kill MRSA strains by researchers. However as per my latest knowledge it is yet to receive FDA approval and therefore isn't brought in practice. As I read, the nearest blue light therapy (Photodynamic therapy) is available at Dr. XXXXXXX Therese Stubb's aesthetic clinic which is located at 438, Beecher Road, Gahana, Ohio 43230. You may be in touch with this centre and get him treated as and when FDA gives its nod. The other nearest centre that I heard may have similar treatment is Fine touch Electrolysis clinic at 616 E Main Street, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 In the interim discourage him to keep scratching. If there are no active skin lesions, you may discuss about using claritin lotions with his treating doctor. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications. Regards
