Suggest Treatment For PCOD And Excessive Hair Growth On Chin

Question: i am 28 years age female. recently i have been diagnosed with pcod. the size of cysts is 3-4 mm. my doctor said nothing to worry and prescribed ovalife medicine. for hair growth on chin hinder cream. i am observing that my hair are getting thin. do i need to do something further or continue with what my doctor has prescribed. its been two months now.

I can understand your concerns.

Dear, I would like to telly you that cysts of size upto 8mm are considered harmless in PCOD.

Ovalife is a herbal product that might improve ovulation and thus fertility capacity. I would suggest you to continue with it.

Hinder cream contains eflornithine which is recommended for treatment of hirsutism. Keep using this as well.

Hair thinning in PCOD is due to increased androgen levels. I would suggest you to go for testing blood androgen (testosterone) levels. Increased levels might need treatment with anti-androgen drugs.

Discuss this with your doctor and keep regular follow-up with her.
