Question : I am a 54 year old female with a history of PCOS and am type 2 diabetic (which is well controlled by medication). I have been bothered recently by ongoing dull low back and abdominal pain, affecting my legs (causing pain) and occasional ovarian sharp, shooting pains. I am urinating properly and have no infection and my bowel movements are normal.

Brief Answer:
Ovarian pathology or pelvic infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Pain in lower back, lower abdomen and in ovarian region can be present in pelvic infection or ovarian cysts, provided urinary tract infection is ruled out.
I will suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated including ultrasound and get appropriate treatment timely.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
