PCOS

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to healthcare Magic.

I have gone through your query and Would like to reply in detail as follows:

1. Polycystic ovaries is a condition where in cycles are irregular and PCOS are a permanent feature and will remain with you.

2. You cannot get it regularised and what ever medicine you take it will regularise temporary only.

3. If you are overweight, please loose weight to regularise periods.

4. You can continue to take medicines you are taking now.

5. For pregnancy, you need to take regular follicular growth scans for getting pregnant.

I hope your doubt is clarified. Let me know if you wish any other information.

Ovulation induction medicines will help you.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Glyciphage helps in reducing insulin resistance present in PCOS. This tablet helps in ovulation by decreasing insulin resistance.

Orover contains multivitamins and help in supplementing minor vitamins and minerals required for ovulation in PCOS. Folic acid helps for baby growth if you conceive while you are on treatment.

These tablets will definitely help you to ovulate and there by aid in getting pregnant. But doing follicular growth scan along with these medicines will definitely help you in increasing chance of pregnancy.

Follicular growth scan is an ultrasound examination. This is done by sonologist or your doctor. This detects growth of follicles and ovulation. The follicle contains an egg and when ovulation occurs this follicle releases an egg which gets fertilized to give pregnancy. Follicular growth scan is important as the action of these medicines you are taking can be seen directly in terms of follicular growth and subsequent ovulation on ultrasound.

Though these medicines will help in getting pregnant but let me remind you that the chances are not hundred percent.
