Brief Answer:
What antibiotic is active on the germ?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Am so sorry to hear about this bad odor that you have reported. No one really wants to live with such. I hope we find a solution to this.

Was antibiotic sensitivity done to identify what antibiotic can act on this germ? If so, why have you had to go through 5 different antibiotics? Well, this seems to signal that medical treatment with antibiotics alone is not sufficient. This probably represents a deep seated infection that antibiotics may not be able to penetrate into the pockets and kill the germs. At this time, I will strongly consider surgical options to explore the nose and take off the purulent site to facilitate antibiotics penetration an accelerate healing. For this, I will suggest that you get evaluated by an ENT specialist.

I hope this helps orient you on how to approach this challenge. Let me know what your thoughts are and whether you would want us to talk more on this. I wish you well and thanks for using our services.

Hello doctor ,thank you for answering my question.

What kind of surgical option do you mean?
And is there no other option for me to kill this germ?
I already went to an ENT specialist here in the Netherlands
both they only give me antihistamine tablets cetirizine and fluticasone spray.
I am really desperate at this moment, i hope i hear soon from you.
Then i can decide what i am gonna do to recover from this horrible bacteria.

Brief Answer:
The medications are not helping!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Talk to them and let them review the treatment. Anti allergies and steroids would not resolve the infection. Draining purulent and offensive nasal secretions means something is fundamentally wrong. They should look into more details and propose smart solutions. Exploring the sinuses and nasal cavities be it with detailed examinations like CT scan and MRI is worth it here.

Confront the doctor and ask whether he thins further examination and on surgical exploration are not necessary. If he says NO, ask him why and what his plan is. But drugs have clearly failed and the situation is getting worse and not better on the 5th round of antibiotics. Something new needs to be done.

I wish you well and keep me updated!
