Question : I've diagosed with a UTI and started taking Sulfameth on Sunday.. I've been running a 103 temp since then, have a terrible headache, no appetite and heart palpitations. I'm not sure what to do at this point. My doctor suggegsted going in the hospital for IV anitbiotics. I don't really want to go to the hospital but I can't afford to miss any more work

I have gone through your query.
As suggested by the doctor, I would also suggest you to go to hospital. I would suggest you to take rest for couple of days, as you have High fever with UTI.

I would also suggest you to go for urine routine, culture and sensitivity examination.

Regarding the work -- I can suggest you to take a day off, go to the hospital get it investigated, take iv antibiotic, if the prescribe post examination. Next day you can visit the local health care provider to get antibiotic iv doses as recommended.
