Question : What antibiotic is superscribed for a UTI ?
Brief Answer:
Bactrim!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this possible UTI. Bactrim is the antibiotics of choice in treating UTI. I always recommend 960mg twice daily for my patients for a total duration of 3-5days as the case maybe. If the client is allergic to Bactrim, then Ciprofloxacin 500mg twice daily for same duration. Also, much water is advised to help cleanse the urinary passages.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
