Question : My mate expressed concern to having a UTI. Is this something that I could get or have given. What is used to treat this and where can i order it.

It is something you can get from sexual contact, poor personal hygiene, renal tract stones, etc. Having sexual contact with someone can result in them also getting the infection, as it is caused by bacteria which can then grow and breed on your partners genitalia.
Treatment includes:
+Antibiotic coverage (mainly depends on the infection-causing organism found on the urine culture and sensitivity examination report), but you can use norfloxacin 400 mg (one tablet, twice daily for 10 days)
+Plenty of liquids
+Pain management (e.g. flavoxate HCL in medications like CRISPS)
+Cranberry juice as tolerated
+Disodium hydrogen citrate solution which will help with suppression of symptoms
You can order everything else from any medical store, but I am not sure about the rule for antibiotics in your country, so please check on that.
