Detailed Answer:
Hello,
reduced urine output can be caused by various disorders but before trying to find out what's going on, you should first be sure that your urine production is lower than normal. You can measure your urine by urinating in a box. If your urine is less than 500mL then you definitely have impaired urine production. Otherwise the evaluation may depend on water intake and expenditure (physical activity and sweating mostly). Measuring the water intake is recommended as well.
If you do have low urine output then a urinalysis and serum urea and creatinine measurements may provide additional clues. Clinical information like leg swelling or shortness of breath would be equally important. If the kidneys are malfunctioning (as indicated by the suggested assessment) then investigation would be required to determine the cause of this malfunction. For example, a drug used to treat the UTI might have caused renal insult or you may just be dehydrated and need more water (despite consuming 'enough').
I hope you find my comments helpful!
Kind Regards!
