Brief Answer:
Need a urine test

Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thank you for asking HealthCareMagic.
I have gone through your question and i understand.
You mean Macrobid( Nitrofurantoin or Cipro ? right

Since you have had bladder infection before ( reccurent infection ) it is important that
before starting a treatment with antibiotic to do a urine sample test .The test will confirm the infection and if it's a case of infection you need to do a urine culture to find out the kind of bacteria .

Sometimes Cipro or Macrobid could not be the right antibiotic , because bacteria may be resistant to them.
So it is needed a urine culture , to choose the right treatment for you.
I am sorry but it is not possible to give you a description of Cipro or Macrobid.
I would recommend to go to the local doctor , do the urine test .
Meanwhile follow the advices:
- Drink planty of water ( at least 2 l/day)
-Use cranberry juice
-Use warm compreses on the abdomen or in the back ( on the area you have the pain).
-Don' t wait to go to to the bathroom , empty you bladder , don't keep the urine.

Wish you good health.
Take Care !
