Suggest Treatment For A Bump On The Palm Of Hand After Injury

default
Posted on Thu, 7 Jul 2016
Question: I have a small area on the palm of my hand (looks like a vein) that has popped out all of a sudden. This was not caused by injury but is tender to the touch. Should I be concerned and how do I get rid of it?

Brief Ans-Bump on palm of hand ?Vein/ Under Evaluation

Hi,Dear !! Thanks for your updates of the text reports to HCM.
Read and reviewed query facts in context to your Bump on palm of hand ?Vein/ Under Evaluation.
Dear, I find the data incomplete on following questions-
Did it appear on the palmar(Thick portion of hand)? or dorsal(On back of hand)?
Was it first time or you had experienced this popped up lump?
Is it firm/ painful to touch, ?
What is the size of the pop up lump?

Brief up of My Impression and Comments-
Dear,I reviewed your, based on which, following is my primary opinion-
You seem to suffer from a Venuos prominence on ?dorsum of hand?
On palm no vein can be poped up,as its a thich portion of hand.

So just update more details along with picture of it to Me in next session.

I do not know how to upload a picture on this forum. Like stated earlier, this is on the palm, not the back of my hand. It is a small, firm bump, 5mm X 7mm in length. It looks the color of a vein (like my other veins), and is tender only when I press on it. This has not happened on my hand before, but I do have a small vein on my face that will "pop" out from time to time and I can even see it "pulse" in tune with my heart rate.

1st of all, I tried sending information via the link you stated on your response, but, Google does not recognize that link, thus I was unsuccessful.
2nd, I just sent you the updated information as requested, but, apparently this information was not looked at. Now I am being asked if I have any "follow up questions" (which you only get the 2 communications for $18.00) and, I have not even heard back from you yet. This is disappointing to say the least.
3rd, I have not found a way to upload a picture onto this site. If this is my oversight, please excuse me.

Hi,Dear !! Thanks for your updates to HCM.
Read and reviewed query facts in context to your Bump on palm of hand ?Vein
I would still need more information in next 2-3 sessions, as You could not upload the photograph and more information is needed still to get to assess the lump on the palm of the left hand.

Dear, I find the data incomplete on following questions-
Is it on thenar bulb/or eminence of the left palm? Or near the wrist-ward near wrist volar-crease?
Is it on the radial(Outer side) /or the ulnar (inner side)side of the left hand?
Are you exposed to any vibrator use with the hands? What is your job?
Since how long this left hand lump -tender to touch, is there ?
Does it come sometime and vanish in particular arm positions-Like extended arm/or flexed arm?
Do you have any wrist ganglion cyst in the past?
Update more Details about the exact location of the lump on palm?

Brief up of My Impression and Comments-
Dear,I reviewed your updates, based on which, following is My updated ?primary opinion-
-You seem to suffer from ?-Voler Ganglion Cyst(from intercarpal joints 0r carpo-metacarpal joints) near Voler wrist crease?
-Or it could be Dupuetryne's bump start, indicating future contraction in time to come/ or
- it could be A-V (Arterio-Venous)malformations/ or fistula in thenar bulb of left palm?
-Or it could be just a vein with aneurysm artery underneath.

Dear,Updated and final reply could be given after receiving photograph / or Video updates of the ? pulsatile bump on left palm.

Do's Suggested-
