Suggest Treatment For A Burn Mark On The Thumb
Question: Hi, my left hand is anesthetic from numerous nerve surgeries. I recently got a nasty burn on my thumb. A nurse practitioner said I should use silver sulfadiazine with a Band-Aid on during the day and cotton gloves at night. When my hand surgeon saw my thumb covered he asked what I was using. When I told him and he was upset and said the silver Sulfadiazine would kill healthy cells also and not help in the healing process. What say you?
