Question : I have a round "hickey" looking mark on my leg. No bumps, just a circular rash. I've had it about a month but it hasn't spread or healed/ become worse. What could it be and how do I get rid of it?

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. However, I would need you to upload an image of the round "hickey" looking mark on your leg as mentioned. You can upload them using the facility on the upper right of this page or you can email them to YYYY@YYYY with the queryId 326498 as well as my name in the subject.

here is the mark I mentionef
Brief Answer:
Could be due to a tick bite
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for uploading the image. By the looks the mark on your leg seems to be a tick bite. I need to ask you if you have a fever. In case you develop a fever you would need to visit a doctor at the earliest.

No fever, I've had it for almost a month. It hasn't worsened or healed. I thought maybe ringworm but it hasn't spread or anything like that.
Brief Answer:
Clotrimazole powder or lotion could help
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Since it is not progressive and since there is no fever there is less cause to be concerned. It could be a ringworm which is actually a fungal infection but in such a case I would have expected some itchiness. If that is the case you should benefit from application of clotrimazole powder or lotion topically.
