Suggest Treatment For A Cut On The Tongue
Question: Today when i was cleaning my toungue. It got cut by cleaner. Mild bleeding no pain. Should i worry. How to heal it?

well there is no need to worry as mild bleeding indicates minor injury to tongue, however care has to be taken to avoid infection by bacteria. you can use clorhexidine mouth wash 4 times a day. which you have to rinse in your mouth and keep it inside for two mins and spit it out and should not even drink water or eat anything for 30 mins after rinsing your mouth with mouthwash. maintain good oral hygiene. by the end of a week you will be alright.

Any chance of taste bud infection. Suggest medicine for it. Tonight also bleed while cleaning the tounge by sharp side of tounge clear. No bleeding in chewing. No pain in swallowing. Please give the name of mouthwash. Gargle with salt water is my ok?

It is advisable not to use tongue cleaner in and around the affected area, as healing takes atleast a week and disturbing the wounded area impedes clot formation n formation of fibrous tissue.
You can use clorhexidine mouth wash four times a day. Avoid salt water gargling as it doesn't serve much purpose and avoid eating and drinking hot food n drinks. Basically you should give some rest to tongue. Since tongue has extensive blood supply, giving rest is enough to heal and usage og antiseptic mouthwash will avoid infection.
