Question : Hi there I have a fatty umbilical hernia! Can this cause really bad gurgling in the upper right quadrant of my abdome? I am a large lady but loosing weight 1 stone in last 4 weeks!

Gurgling may be caused by the hernia, especially if you experience pain in the are of the hernia. You can wait and watch if you still have the normal gastrointestinal function, i.e., normal stools and ability to eat and drink without vomiting.
